Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs announces solicitation for 2024 Non-Profit Partner

Non-profit organizations encouraged to apply by Dec. 15

The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) is seeking applications for a non-profit organization to serve as its 2024 Non-Profit Partner (NPP). The program partners IDVA with an Indiana non-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of Indiana’s Veterans.

In the last two years IDVA and its partners have raised more than $40,000 for programs that serve veterans.

“Through this program we’ve been able to team up with incredible organizations around the state, making a real impact in their ability to serve the Indiana Veteran Community,” IDVA Director Dennis Wimer said. “We are excited to be able to continue the partnership program in 2024 with a new organization dedicated to making Indiana the choice for veterans to live, work, and thrive.”

As part of the partnership, IDVA and the NPP will plan the annual IDVA golf outing as well as other events throughout the year to raise funds for the non-profit’s mission; raise awareness of state and federal benefits available to veterans; and foster community, camaraderie, and connection.

An eligible applicant is an organization that serves Indiana’s Veterans and has 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Additionally, the NPP24 must have the resources to serve as an active partner with IDVA including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the planning of the golf outing and other events;
  • Having personnel and/or volunteers to perform duties at each event;
  • Leveraging other partnerships to enhance the participation in and help ensure the success of each event; and
  • Utilizing all promotional avenues to promote and publicize each event.

To be considered as the NPP24, applicants must submit a complete NPP online application by 4 p.m. on Dec. 15. NPP funds must be used to enhance an organization’s programs or services to Indiana’s Veteran Community.

All applications, procedures and documentation should follow Indiana Code, Indiana Administrative Code, and Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs policies. Online applications are due by 4 p.m. on Dec. 15. IDVA will host a Live Q&A on YouTube at 11 a.m. on Dec. 6 to answer any questions about the program and the application process. The solicitation award notice will be sent in writing no later than Dec. 29.
