Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU) recently presented a check for $3,040 to Community Health Network Foundation as part of an ongoing debit card give back program.

The partnership allows members to show their support of the independent nonprofit hospital system by signing up for and using a Community Health Network debit card. Every time the card is used as a signature-based transaction, Community Health Network Foundation benefits. The more cards that are in use, the larger the contribution.

Since beginning the program in 2017, Community Health Network Foundation has earned $11,605 through this IMCU giveback program.

IMCU’s Vice President of Business Development and Marketing Thorpe Miller presented the check to Bente Weitekamp, Vice President for Development for Community Health Network Foundation, on July 26.

Proceeds from the debit card give back program will benefit the Community Health Network Foundation Dale Fleming Fund, established in memory of Dale Fleming, an employee of the Human Resources department at Community Health Network, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. The Dale Fleming Fund provides immediate assistance for funeral expenses, travel expenses for attending a funeral or caring for a terminally ill employee or immediate family member.

The card is available for issue to members at IMCU’s 27 Central Indiana locations. The Community Health Network debit card is free to members with a free checking account and can be issued immediately via IMCU’s Instant Issue program, which allows members to receive their debit card on the spot. To support Community Health Network, those interested should visit an IMCU branch or imcu.com for details.
