On Friday, Jan. 23, the Hamilton Heights boys basketball team hit the road to Lafayette to face Central Catholic in a Hoosier Conference game.
The Huskies grabbed their fifth consecutive win with a convincing 64-48 win over the Knights.
Heights started off with a 15-7 advantage after one quarter and didn’t look back.
They held off the Knights in the second in a defensive quarter (8-4) for a 23-11 halftime lead.
It was a much higher scoring second half. The Huskies scored 17 to LCC’s 12 in the third for a 40-23 count.
Central Catholic outscored Heights in the fourth, 25-24, but the Huskies still cruised to a 16-point win.
Jackson Mikesell had a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Rees Knapp was right behind with 18 and Jack Kakasuleff had 12.
