Hamilton Heights dropped its regular-season finale on Wednesday, falling 70-64 at Tri-West.
The Bruins took an early lead, going up 19-12 after one quarter. The Huskies came back in the second period, pouring in 22 points and tying the game at 34-34 by halftime. But Tri-West jumped ahead in the third quarter and led 50-44 going into the fourth, where both teams scored 20 points.
Tillman Etchison led Heights with 25 points, including four 3-pointers, and also dished out four assists. Maddox Bohland had 22 points, draining three 3s, and led the rebounds with nine. John Irion collected seven rebounds.
The Huskies are 8-14 and are off until Friday, March 3, when they play a semi-final game at the New Castle sectional. Heights will take on the winner of Tuesday’s first-round game between Delta and Centerville.
