Huskies beat Berries

The REPORTER

Hamilton Heights rebounded from its Monday loss with a 3-0 home victory over Logansport in a Hoosier Conference game.

The Huskies scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning. Kaden Lawson and Josh Newton both got home after Nick Hulen reached on an error. P.J. Wright hit a sacrifice fly to score the third run, bringing in Levi Chandler.

The game was a pitcher’s duel, as both teams only had two hits. Hulen won the dual, striking out 13 in a complete-game effort and allowing only two walks. Adam Hughes and Newton got one hit each for Heights.

The Huskies are 5-8 and play at Logansport tonight to complete the conference series.
