The Hamilton Southeastern girls track and field team won an all-county dual meet with Westfield 74-58 on Tuesday.
Both teams won eight events. The Royals were led by 1-2-3 finishes in the high jump and shot put, and also won the 4×800 and 4×400 relays, which are winner-take-all events where first place gets five points.
Individual winners for Southeastern were Halle Hill in the 1600 run, Alyssa Barker in the 400 dash, Ally Elsbury in the high jump, Rosiebella Fiabema in the shot put, Makenna Nickens in the discus and Ella Wilhelm in the pole vault. The Royals’ relay winners were Olivia Brown, Katherine Kesler, Jehnea Mirro and Brooke Baker in the 4×800 and Hill, Brown, Mirro and Grace Newton in the 4×400.
The Shamrocks had two double winners. Princess Campbell was first in the 100 and 200 dashes, while Lucy Hauser swept the 100 and 300 hurdles. Sophie Porter took first in the 800 run, Mary Kate Sloan led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 3200 run and Sydney Black was victorious in the long jump. Westfield also won the 4×100 relay, which consisted of Jadeyn Hammes, Hauser, Kierstyn Ballard and Campbell.
