Harold Layton Box, 80, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at his home. He was born on October 28, 1941, to Norris and Hazel (Minchew) Box in McArthur, Ark.
For 37 years, Harry worked for Delco-Remy and sold real estate at the same time; he was a hard worker all his life. Harry loved old antique cars and owned several. He loved to sing and loved gambling at casinos. Family was most important to Harry; he supported his grandkids athletics, never missing a game. He also traveled to visit extended family all over the country. Harry served on the Noblesville City Council for 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Box; sons, Randy (Susie) Box and Ricky (Mary) Box; stepson, Brian (Barbara) Hall; grandchildren, Sara and Daniel, and Kaitlyn and Kimberly; step-grandson, Andy; and his great-grandchildren, Britton, Carter and Maddox.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Box, Curt Box, and Don Box; twin brother, Howard Box; and his great-grandchild, Kayden.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville.
