Indiana Artisan is partnering with the City of Carmel in a four-week celebration to honor the nation.

Americana on Main will offer free activities, music, and other entertainment from 4 to 7 p.m. each Thursday, June 11 through July 2 throughout the Arts & Design District.

Fun themes will make each week’s celebration a new adventure. A Kick-Off Celebration is slated for June 11, Family Fun Night on June 18, Ice Cream Social on June 25, and Americana Farmer’s Market on July 2. Artisan-led events planned at Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery will center on traditional arts and honor the semiquincentennial:

  • Turning Wood on a Treadle Lathe, artisan Jim Dupler, June 11
  • Broom Making, artisan Bev Larson, June 25
  • Folk Art Painting, artist Craig Mullins, July 2

Be sure to browse the shop, too, where there are other traditional arts, paintings, pottery pieces, fiber art and glass work made to honor America’s birthday.
