Hamilton County Parks and Recreation (HCPR) announces the addition of brand-new playgrounds at Prather Park and Potter’s Bridge Park.

The new play areas offer modern and engaging equipment designed to provide fun and accessible recreation opportunities for families across the county.

Both playgrounds feature a variety of play structures that encourage active, imaginative, and cooperative play. Each playground includes ADA-compliant elements to ensure children of all abilities can play together. At Prather Park, visitors will enjoy a colorful play structure and freestanding pieces for multiple age groups, while the Potter’s Bridge Park playground provides a scenic play experience near one of the county’s most iconic landmarks.

“These new playgrounds are a reflection of our ongoing commitment to improving park amenities and creating spaces where families can connect and play,” HCPR Recreation Director Chris Stice said. “Investing in our parks strengthens our community and enhances the quality of life for everyone who enjoys them.”

The playground projects were funded through the department’s capital improvement plan and designed in partnership with local commercial playground companies. Both playgrounds are now open to the public.
