The Guerin Catholic and University tennis teams each won all-county battles on Tuesday.
The top-ranked Golden Eagles defeated No. 14 Fishers 4-1. Cece Phillips was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles, while Anna Kolb took the No. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, No. 1 Abby Quigley and Grace Docktor won their match 6-0, 6-1, while No. 2 Maddy Hood and Courtney Bassi scored a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.
No. 1 singles Allie Briggs won the Tigers’ match 6-3, 6-2.
Meanwhile, No. 30-ranked University traveled to Noblesville and won that dual match 4-1.
No. 1 singles Laurel Buttrick and No. 2 singles Duygu Arseven both claimed 6-0, 6-0 shutouts; Buttrick is now 16-3 for the season. No. 3 singles Sruti Alturi won her match 6-1, 6-0.
The teams split the doubles: the Trailblazers’ No. 1 team of Sarah Coleman and Lauren Quinto were victorious, while the Millers’ Mia Teachnor and Lucy Augspurger won the No. 2 match. (Scores were not available).
