The fourth annual Indiana India Gala was held on Aug. 10 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.

Carmel resident Raju Chinthala, founder of Indiana India Business Council (IIBC), attests that the IIBC contributes to strengthening Indiana-India relations by generating economic and social growth.

Carmel City Councilor Miles Nelson and Congresswoman Victoria Spartz were in attendance, along with other business owners and community leaders.

The IIBC is responsible for bringing several partnerships to life and transcending borders and building relationships. IIBC creates international ties that bring together Indiana and India along with bringing together diversity and leadership by engaging stakeholders, business and government entities. IIBC serves as the area’s direct tie between business and government leaders.

This year, IIBC honored Governor Eric Holcomb and Infosys Vice President head of Midwest Region Richard Cardwell by awarding them the Indiana Ratna Award.

This is the highest award bestowed by the board members of the IIBC to two individuals who have contributed significantly towards strengthening culture, education, economic, and political ties and have made a profound effect both in Indiana and India.
