On Wednesday, the Guerin Catholic softball team hosted Lawrence Central.
Steady hitting from the Bears spelled trouble starting in the first as the visitors took down the Golden Eagles in five innings, 11-1.
LC quickly put four on the board in their first at-bat. A couple base hits, a walk and two errors led to the early deficit for Guerin.
The Golden Eagles got their lone run on the board in the bottom of the second on a Gia Crishon home run to left.
Lawrence Central kept their feet on the gas, combining for seven more runs in the third through fifth innings to put the game away early.
Guerin Catholic (3-2, 0-0 CCC) visits Brebeuf Jesuit (2-3, 0-1 CCC) tonight at 5:30 p.m. in their first game of Circle City Conference play.
