Gary Richard Towle

November 12, 1947 – February 13, 2022

Gary Richard Towle, 74, Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on November 12, 1947, to Robert and Elizabeth (Jossens) Towle in Mount Clemens, Mich.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force at Nellis AFB where he maintained F-111 instrument panels. He worked as a machine tool sales engineer. Gary was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where he served as head usher and volunteered. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, very adventurous, and a member of the International Harvester 4-Wheelers Club. Gary loved Veteran’s Day. He enjoyed stained glass and was a handyman in his retirement. Gary was very resourceful and a modern-day “MacGyver.” He was president of the Potter’s Bridge HOA and volunteered with a lot of maintenance projects. Gary was a loving and devoted father and husband and enjoyed taking trips with his wife. He was a thoughtful, kind, and caring man who always considered others before himself.

Gary is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fran Towle; daughters, Melissa Towle and Carrie Towle; grandson, Zachary Lewis; two brothers, Jack Towle (wife Sandy) and Leonard Towle (wife Summer); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Towle; brother, Edmond Towle; and sister-in-law, Judy Towle.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m., on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E. 191st St., Noblesville, with Rev. Clayton Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (ologn.org) or donate towards a Dedication Park Bench in Dad’s honor at Potters Bridge Park (Venmo @Melissa-Towle-4). Potters Bridge was one of Mom and Dad’s favorite places to be together.
