Gary and Pam started their own construction and carpentry company, G & P Enterprises, Inc., and Gary built the business for 44 years into what it is today.

Gary was a “water dog” who learned to water ski at age 10. He was a great slalom skier and also barefooted. He and his sons participated in skiing and knee board competitions and the Cicero 4th of July Ski Shows held in the past. In addition to water and boating activities, he enjoyed quail and pheasant hunting, and target shooting with his brother-in-law and best friend, Chuck Stein. Gary was a member of the Martinsville Conservation Club, Elwood Conservation Club, Crooked Creek Conservation Club. Gary lived life fully, enjoyed hosting parties and socializing, and was an avid fan of IU Hoosiers basketball. He loved spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. They all looked forward to their sleepovers with GPa and Nana having pizza on Saturday night and homemade waffles made by GPa on Sunday morning. Gary also had a special love for his two dogs, Cabo and Stryker.
