At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, deputies from the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office were dispatched to a three-car fatal crash at U.S. 31 and 136th Street for a death investigation. The driver of a GMC Envoy was pronounced dead on scene.

Positive identification of the driver was challenging due to his injuries; however, with the assistance of the Indiana State Police, a fingerprint comparison was completed, and Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison identified the deceased as Joe Louis Ingram Jr., 42, Galveston, Ind.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the official cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology results.
