Fishers PD to hold candlelight vigil for fallen officers

The Fishers Police Department invites the community to attend a candlelight vigil on 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 in honor of law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The vigil will take place at Liberty Plaza, located at Municipal Drive and 116th Street.

Held during National Police Week, the Fishers vigil will coincide with the National Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C., joining communities across the country in remembrance and solidarity.

This solemn event will honor fallen officers and recognize the enduring impact of their service. Each year, hundreds of names of officers killed in the line of duty are engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., serving as a lasting tribute to their sacrifice. The vigil will include a candlelight tribute and time for reflection. Community members, public safety personnel, and local leaders are encouraged to attend.
