Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness endorses David Turk for HSE School Board District 3

David Turk’s campaign for Hamilton Southeastern School Board District 3 announced on Monday, Oct. 5, that it has earned the endorsement of Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness.

Fadness has led Fishers since the city incorporated in 2015 and is in his third full term as mayor. Over that time, he has built a reputation for practical, results-driven leadership focused on making Fishers one of the best places in the state to raise a family, with strong public schools at the center of that work.

“As Mayor of Fishers and father of three HSE students, I know how important our schools are to our families and community,” Fadness said. “David Turk offers responsive, practical leadership focused on keeping our schools strong. That’s why I support David for HSE School Board.”

Turk said the endorsement reflects the kind of common sense, family-first leadership he is running on.

“HSE gave my family everything,” Turk said. “Mayor Fadness has spent his career listening to families and finding practical solutions instead of getting caught up in politics. That’s exactly the kind of school board member I want to be. This isn’t about a party. It’s about making sure every family in this district gets what mine did.”

Turk, who has run his campaign as the common-sense candidate for HSE School Board, has built his platform around three priorities: protecting and strengthening HSE’s special needs and special education programs, keeping good teachers in the district through competitive pay, and applying smart, responsible budgeting to how the district spends money.

Turk is a Fishers resident, real estate developer, and father of three. He grew up in Hamilton County, attended Noblesville High School, and earned a degree in Biology from Purdue University. He and his wife, Rachel, moved their family to Fishers so their son James, who is blind, could learn in-person from HSE’s teachers and specialists, after his previous school could only offer him Braille instruction over Zoom during the pandemic.
