The power of numbers continues to help local charities, surpassing $43,000
On Tuesday, the Fishers Century Club gathered to network and hear about local charities, and the group selected The Smoking Pastor Project as its winning charity.
The brief presentation was delivered by Century Club attendee Cameron Carter on behalf of the organization, which recently made headlines after The Smoking Pastor Project’s mobile kitchen trailer was stolen and completely destroyed by thieves. The trailer, a total loss, was crucial to the organization’s mission of serving free food to the local community and other non-profits.
This timely donation from the Fishers Century Club will aid in The Smoking Pastor Project’s efforts to replace the trailer and continue its mission.
The Smoking Pastor Project is a Hamilton County-based nonprofit that partners with other organizations to serve free meals to those in need, local heroes, and communities across the area. The group’s mission is to bring joy and nourishment to individuals through hearty meals, building connections and uplifting spirits one bite at a time.
“Our mission is simple: faith, food, and family,” said Jordan Davis, Founder of The Smoking Pastor Project. “We aspire to create community and inspire joy through the universal language of food, and this generous donation from the guys of the Fishers Century Club comes at a time when we need it the most.”
