Fishers Arts Council (FAC) is looking for a few good people. We are seeking applications from individuals who want to help FAC promote visual and performing arts in the city of Fishers. Our mission is:

To support, advocate, and cultivate visual and performing arts opportunities that educate, enhance, and/or enrich the lives of those who live, work, and visit Fishers.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  1. Willing to give two to three hours each month to promote and grow public and private art in the city through participation at meetings, on juries, or by volunteering at art events and activities.
  2. Creative and willing to get their hands dirty.

If you are one of these individuals, we need you to help us continue to promote the visual and performing arts in Fishers. Don’t leave the decision to others. Board members play active roles in all that we do – this is a working board who helps support our part-time Executive Director. Your time, talent, and treasure truly make a difference in all that we do.

Obtain an application at fishersartscouncil.org/how-to-help and scroll down to the Board Application button. Both a printable PDF and online application are available.

All are invited to come meet current board members and tour the galleries during our Second Friday Gallery Hop reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 in the FAC Hub Gallery at the Hamilton County Community Foundation, 11810 Technology Drive, Fishers, and from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Art Gallery at City Hall, 1 Municipal Drive. Ask questions and decide if you will be a part of shaping the future of art in Fishers.

Applications are due no later than Dec. 9, 2025.

Hayes

Chris Hayes, FAC Board President and wood worker, got involved with FAC from personally knowing and respecting many board members and appreciating the feedback and encouragement that he received from them over several years. He also thinks it is a great opportunity to get a direct firsthand view of just how many hidden talented artists there are in the city of Fishers.

“It’s great to know there’s a growing number of people who are discovering that we have an outlet like the council to help grow and communicate creativity in all its forms,” he said.

Hayes is also committed to answering questions from those who would like to be involved. He joined the board in 2023.

Hilleary

“I’m proud to have served three years with the Fishers Arts Council,” said Ross Hilleary, past president and current Vice President of FAC, “and I am proud of the work we accomplished all-year long. If you are interested in joining an organization which is synonymous with all-things-arts in Fishers, then the Fishers Arts Council is your go-to. I encourage all who are interested to submit an application.”

FAC Executive Director Les Reinhardt joined the board back in 2018 as the board Treasurer.

Reinhardt

“Over the past seven and a half years I’ve witnessed the wonderful things we can do, simply because of the talented and creative people we have on our team,” she said. “The ideas that come forward and blossom into opportunities for creatives, the connections we make with artists of all disciplines, the strong partnerships and relationships in our city and county – it is truly rewarding in so many ways. My passion for supporting the visual and performing artists grows every year, aided by the strong support of our board of directors.”
