Finding your voice in fearful times

At a time when so many people feel exhausted by division, fear, and the inability to truly hear one another, Carmel author and longtime interfaith leader Jerry Zehr is inviting the community into a different kind of conversation.

On Sunday, May 31 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Carmel Clay Public Library Community Room, Zehr will launch his new book, Sacred Rebel: Fierce Love in a Fearful World.

Rather than a traditional author reading, the afternoon is designed as an open and engaging community conversation exploring courage, compassion, finding one’s own voice, and how we stay connected across deep differences in today’s culture.

Drawing from nearly 40 years in pastoral leadership and interfaith work in central Indiana, Zehr’s book invites readers to rethink what strength, spirituality, and healing can look like in anxious times.

The event will include a few stories from the book, audience interaction, questions and discussion, and a book signing afterward.

Readers can also explore the opening chapter and learn more about the book at JerryZehr.com.
