Westfield City Council

Notice is hereby given that the Westfield City Council, being the governing body of the City of Westfield, will conduct a public hearing on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Westfield City Hall, 130 Penn Street, Westfield, Indiana, to receive and hear remonstrances and objections from all persons interested in or affected by the proposed 100% voluntary annexation.
The proposed voluntary annexation consists of a portion of one (1) parcel approximately 11.729 acres +/- to be know as part of the Chatham Hills subdivision. The area to be annexed the southern portion of a parcel that is generally located south of SR 38 between US 31 and Oak Ridge Road, and adjacent to the existing corporate limits along the eastern and southern boundaries of the parcel. The Hamilton County tax identification number is Parcel No. 08-05-13-00-00-009.000.
The property will be annexed into the City of Westfield Corporate limits.
Written remonstrances against the proposed annexation may be filed at any time before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the offices of the Economic and Community Development Department, 2728 East 171st Street, Westfield, Indiana.
At the public hearing, the City Council will hear any person who has filed a written remonstrance during this filing period, and receive and hear any remonstrances or objections from persons interested in or affected by the voluntary annexation.
At the public hearing, the City Council will also determine whether the proposed voluntary annexation is reasonable and appropriate when considered in relation to the Ordinance and whether the Ordinance, as amended, conforms to the Westfield-Washington Comprehensive Plan.
