Entertainment lineup announced for this year’s Carmel Christkindlmarkt

The Carmel Christkindlmarkt has a full calendar of entertainers from around the country lined up for the 2023 season.

New this year, the Market will welcome Grammy-nominated musician and producer Alex Meixner from Texas; the Mike Schneider Band from Milwaukee, Wis.; Jutta & the Hi-Dukes from Evanston, Ill.; Brass Animals, who has troupes around the country; and Brass Attack (38th Infantry Quintet) from Indiana.

“Every season we strive to offer authentic, amazing entertainment at our Winter Pavilion for guests to enjoy when they visit the Market,” Carmel Christkindlmarkt CEO Maria Murphy said. “We are so excited to welcome many new acts this year, along with old favorites that have been here year after year as a part of visitors’ holiday traditions.”

The line-up of entertainment for the season will include the following:

  • Midwest Alphorn Retreat (Michigan), alphorns – various times on Nov. 18 and 19
  • Jay Fox & The Jammin’ Germans (Fort Wayne), polka music – Nov. 18, 1 to 2:45 p.m.; Dec. 2, 7 to 8:45 p.m.; Dec. 23, 7 to 8:45 p.m.
  • Johnny Koenig (Pennsylvania), polka music – Nov. 24, 4 to 5:45 p.m.; Nov. 25, 7 to 8:45 p.m.
  • Jennie DeVoe (Indianapolis), soul-blues singer/songwriter – Nov. 24, 7 to 8:45 p.m.
  • Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio (Carmel), blues, and featuring an original guitarist for REO Speedwagon – Dec. 1, 7 to 8:45 p.m.; Dec. 22, 7 to 8:45 p.m.
  • Mollie B & Squeezebox (Minnesota), polka music – Dec. 8, 6 to 8 p.m.; Dec. 9, 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Brass Attack (38th Infantry Quintet) (Indiana), brass band – Dec. 10, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
  • Brass Animals (troupes are currently located in California, Texas, Georgia, New York, and Illinois), New Orleans-style brass band style with an eclectic blend of hip-hop, R&B, funk and pop – Dec. 10, 3 to 3:45 p.m. and 5 to 5:45 p.m.
  • Jutta & the Hi-Dukes™  (Evanston, Illinois), Traditional and upbeat Chanukah and Klezmer along with ethnic holiday and Christmas music from Germany, Sweden, Denmark, France, Romania, Greece, and more – Dec. 14, 7 to 8:45 p.m.; Dec. 15, noon to 1:45 p.m.
  • Alex Meixner Band (Texas), polka music, Grammy-nominated musician, and producer – Dec. 15, 6 to 6:45 p.m. and 8 to 8:45 p.m.; Dec. 16, 4 to 5:30 p.m.; Dec. 17, 6 to 7:45 p.m.
  • Mike Schneider Band (Milwaukee, Wis.), polka music – Dec. 16, 6 to 6:45 p.m. and 8 to 8:45 p.m.; Dec. 17, noon to 12:45 p.m., 2 to 2:45 p.m., and 4 to 4:45 p.m.
