The Westfield Library Foundation invites the community to celebrate Under the Stars, a free evening of live music, dancing, and family fun presented by Krieg DeVault. The event will take place from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in the library’s new Read & Roam Garden.
The free community event will be the first major public gathering in the Read & Roam Garden, the library’s new outdoor destination created through a partnership between the Westfield Washington Public Library and the Westfield Washington Township Trustee’s Office. Designed as both an open-air classroom and public park, the new green space features shaded structures, reading nooks, ADA-accessible tables, and drinking fountains.

“This is exactly the kind of evening we envisioned when we began dreaming about the Read & Roam Garden,” Foundation Executive Director Erin Downey said. “We’re thrilled to welcome the community into this beautiful new space for its first major event.”
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers (no alcohol permitted) and enjoy a performance by local favorite Country Summer. The evening will also feature line dancing and a 50/50 raffle. No registration is required.
