The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners recently honored Elaine McGuire with the Rampart Award. The award recognizes citizens who have an “attitude of teamwork, a generosity of spirit, and a desire to tirelessly support their communities.” McGuire is retiring after 42 years with Janus. She has been a fierce advocate for transportation and helped develop what is widely known today as Hamilton County Express.

This award could have not gone to a better person. Working with Elaine for almost 20 years I saw her committment first hand and know there would not be a bus system with out her. She will be missed when she departs Janus
