“Volunteerism is an integral part of Duke Energy’s commitment to the communities where we live and serve,” said Mark LaBarr, government and community relations manager at Duke Energy. “We were proud to take part in this beautification project at Morse Park & Beach for local residents to enjoy.”

Volunteers from Duke Energy’s Noblesville Generating Station and operations centers in Noblesville and Carmel prepared picnic tables for a fresh coat of paint. In addition, volunteers helped assemble packets of milkweed seeds, which will be distributed to local students for planting at Morse Park & Beach to attract monarch butterflies.

This beautification project is one way Duke Energy is giving back to a community it serves. Throughout the year, Duke Energy employees volunteer thousands of hours in the communities where they live and work. The company also provides philanthropic support, contributing more than $2 million annually in charitable gifts to Indiana communities.
