Drum Corps International holding Spring Training Finale

Here’s your chance to see Marching Music’s Major League in action — the professional level of marching bands.

Drum Corps International is hosting the DCI Spring Training Finale Tuesday, June 20 at Westfield High School. The Finale will feature full dress exhibition performances from two World Class drum corps: The Blue Stars of La Crosse, Wis., and the Cavaliers of Rosemont, Ill.

Rhyan Radabaugh, Westfield High School 2017 graduate, will be singing the Star Spangled Banner at 8 p.m. to kick off the event. The “DCI Spring Training Finale” will serve as the unofficial start to the 45th anniversary Drum Corps International Tour, which just two days later will march through Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and be broadcast live at the Hamilton Center IMAX Theater and several others on Thursday, June 22.  More Theater Viewing Info.

Taylor Smith, Westfield High School 2016 graduate, is a third-year member of the Blue Stars and Drum Major for the corps. Taylor is now a sophomore studying Music Education at Ball State University. The Blue Stars will also be in residence and rehearsing at Westfield High School from June 19 to 23. All rehearsals are open to the public and full ensemble rehearsal is from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the stadium. The Blue Stars invite you to come see what World Class marching is all about.
