Dr. Ron Snow honored with Bowl of Hygeia Award

Last month at the Indiana Pharmacy Association’s (IPA) annual meeting, Ron Snow, Carmel pharmacist and pillar of the healthcare community, was awarded the prestigious Bowl of Hygeia Award.

The Bowl of Hygeia Award is the highest, nationally recognized pharmacist award, given annually to one pharmacist in each state. This is given in recognition of an individual association member who has made considerable contributions in terms of community service.

Dr. Ron Snow was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia Award in recognition of his unparalleled dedication and contribution to the field of pharmacy.

Dr. Snow is a graduate of Drake University College of Pharmacy, with 37 years of experience in retail pharmacy across independent and chain settings. Throughout his career, he held various roles, including staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager, Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager of Professional and College Relations, and Pharmacist Recruitment Specialist.

As a former president of both the IPA and the Indiana Pharmacists Education Foundation, Dr. Snow has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Alumni Achievement and National Alumni Loyalty Awards from Drake University, along with the Friend of Pharmacy Award from Purdue University College of Pharmacy. He actively contributes to pharmacy education and sits on the board of the Hook’s Drug Store Museum.

The Bowl of Hygeia Award is a testament to Dr. Snow’s enduring legacy and serves as a reminder of the transformative power of dedication, compassion, and excellence in healthcare.
