September draws to a close with one of the largest festivals of the year in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Today and Sunday, the streets will be closed to traffic but alive with more than 100 artists in an array of media to provide the community with the finest samplings to purchase and take home. The Carmel International Arts Festival takes place today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24.
