Dennis Allen Piper

March 7, 1938 – May 28, 2021

Dennis Allen Piper, 83, Cicero, passed away on May 28, 2021 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. He was born on March 7, 1938 in Noblesville to Jewel and LaVaughn (Woods) Piper.

He attended Cicero Elementary School and graduated from Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1957. He gained employment as a machine repairman for General Motors where he worked for over 38 years.

Dennis was an avid collector of antique tools, stoneware and Indiana artifacts. Anyone who crossed his path could recognize his passion and appreciation for the items he collected. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast his entire life.

He married Sharon Jean (Beechler) Piper on May 25, 1958, who survives him. Also surviving is a son, Wayne Allen Piper, Cicero; a daughter, Renee Sue (Michael) Kinder, Cicero; and grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Piper, Nicholas Allen Piper, Braden Matthew Kinder, Piper Noelle Kinder, and Carson Andrew Kinder.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a son, Randy Gene Piper; and brothers, Dannis Alvin Piper and Edward Eugene Piper.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Dwyer and the staff at Prairie Lakes Memory Care Unit for their competent and compassion care.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of the services. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.
