Four Hamilton County teams compete Saturday night
Four Hamilton County cross country teams competed in the Nike XC Town Twilight meet, which took place Saturday night at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute.
In the boys varsity race, Carmel finished in second place with 106 points, behind only Jesuit New Orleans, which scored 97 points. The Greyhounds had the meet winner in Kole Mathison, who cruised to victory in 14 minutes, 51.7 seconds. Anthony Provenzano finished in fifth place.
Noblesville finished in fourth place, totaling 175 points. The Millers were led by Caden Click, who placed 11th.
Fishers finished 13th with 370 points; Sam Quagliarioli led the Tigers by placing 26th. Westfield scored 917 points to take 31st, Colin Lakomek paced the Shamrocks with a time of 16:53.0.
In the girls race, Noblesville finished second by scoring 111 points. Prospect (Ill.) dominated the meet by totaling 34 points and placing four runners in the top 10.
Paige Hazelrigg led the Millers by finishing in 22nd.
Carmel scored 252 points to take eighth as a team; Jasmine Klopstad placed 19th for the Greyhounds. Westfield was 25th with 651 points, Liz Smith led the Shamrocks by placing 69th.
