Collin Luckey named head boys soccer coach at Hamilton Heights

The REPORTER

The Hamilton Heights High School athletic department has announced the hiring of Collin Luckey as the new head boys soccer coach.

Luckey replaces Drew Colvin, who had been the head coach since the 2020-21 season. Luckey has been the junior varsity coach at Hamilton Heights the past four years.

Luckey is a Hamilton Heights Class of 2015 graduate, where he played four years of soccer. He continued his soccer career at Wabash College, graduating in 2019 majoring in Economics with a minor in Spanish.  Luckey has also officiated the game of soccer for a long time, earning Best Young Male Official in 2012.  Currently, Luckey is pursuing his teaching degree and is a Teacher’s Assistant at Hamilton Heights High School.

“I’m honored to be given this opportunity and relish in the challenge of getting better every single day,” said Luckey. “There’s no easy way to get where we want to go, but we’re going to put in the hard work to make it happen.  I love this game and I’m excited to share that with the young men that play for me.”

“Collin is very passionate about soccer and has earned valuable experience coaching and officiating the sport since he was young.  His positive energy resonates with his team.  He is an outstanding teacher of the game and he will positively impact his players both on and off the field,” said Hamilton Heights Athletic Director Kurt Ogden.
