From March through May 10, the Hamilton County Veterans Corp. (HCVC) held a care package drive like no other for our deployed Hoosier Troops.
It was a Christmas in June drive, so our soldiers could have some fun from home to brighten up their lives, attitudes, and spaces. With the help of Hamilton County’s five American Legion Posts, two VFW Posts, and a special thank you to the Carmel American Legion and Fishers American Legion Auxiliary Teams who truly made this possible, their Christmas In June was a huge success.

HCVC worked with TF Spartan Command Chaplain (LTC) Cliff Pappe to make this happen.
“I want to thank everyone for the effort you put into helping out with our Christmas in June event,” Chaplain Pappe said. “As you may have seen on the news, we have had some interesting events taking place over here, which disrupted our original plan for the event. But to help build morale for our soldiers, we delivered the presents today to different locations. I have attached some photos that show soldiers with some of the gifts.”

Lynn Epperson of HCVC, Linda Amstutz of the Carmel American Legion Auxiliary, and Tracy Huser of the Fishers American Legion Auxiliary were the stars of this awesome event here stateside, so thank you to you and your teams for all your hard work making this special day possible for so many!
To our deployed: stay safe, vigilant and hurry home.
