Chris E. Peters, 63, Atlanta, died on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his residence. His was born in Tipton on August 27, 1955 to Bobbie C. & Rebecca J. (Eudaly) Peters. On June 26, 1976, Chris married Dee Darline Netherton and they enjoyed 43 years together.
Chris was the co-owner of Peters Industrial Equipment in Indianapolis which he and his brother built starting from a garage in Atlanta. After selling that business he worked for Wiese Planning & Engineering before retiring in 2009. He was a graduate of Tri-Central High School Class of 1973 and had attended Atlanta Christian Church. Chris loved to fish, camp and travel. He had helped build all four of his houses and loved tinkering.
Survivors besides his wife Dee include his mother, Becky Peters, Tipton; two sisters, Susan Browning and husband George, Sweetser, and Linda Kay Davis and husband Denny, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his father Bobbie Peters and three brothers, David, Greg and Joe Peters.
Chris’ funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Jodie Brown presiding. Burial will follow in Sumner Cemetery, Atlanta. Visitation will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday.
