Carolyn Sue Phillips

August 11, 1941 – January 9, 2026

Carolyn Sue Phillips, 84, Noblesville, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at her home in Noblesville. She was born on August 11, 1941, to late Roy and Mary (Brattain) Reynolds in Noblesville.

Carolyn worked in assembly at Best Lock. She enjoyed word puzzles and was a fan of the Pacers and Colts. Carolyn was a social butterfly who knew everyone and was sweet to everyone she talked to. She was known as the matriarch of the neighborhood. Most of all, she loved being with her family and enjoyed calling in and checking on them.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Rose (Mark) Rigdon and Linda Ousley; twin sister, Marilyn Klingler; sister, Georgia (Bill) Shoaf; brothers, Bob (Marsha) Reynolds and Bruce (Debbie) Reynolds; grandchildren, Laura Rigdon, Elizabeth (Chris) Welch, Michael (Anna) Ousley, Hannah (Patrick) McCullough, Stephanie (Steve) Black, and Shaun (Kara) Ousley; great-grandchildren, Whitney (Chris) Vasquez, Rose Black, Katelyn Welch, Gray Black, Gracie Bonebright, Addalyn Welch, Alexa Taylor, Emmalyn Welch, Dax Ousley, and Noella Ousley; great-great-granddaughter, Minnie Mills; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Ousley; and great-grandbaby, Lilly Emogene.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Crematory, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Dr. Richard Schenck and Rev. Carol Schenck will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
