Carmel senior Sam Orme was named the IBCA/Franciscan Health Player of the Week for District 2 boys on Monday.
Orme recorded a pair of double-doubles as Carmel moved to 11-5 with a 52-49 victory over Pike and a 53-42 decision over Brownsburg. The 6-9 forward opened with 15 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one block while shooting 6-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-3 from the line as the Greyhounds edged the Red Devils. The Belmont University signee then tallied 11 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and one block while hitting 4-of-7 field goals, 1-of-4 3-pointers and 2-of-4 free throws against the Bulldogs.
