Proscenium, a mixed-use development located at the corner of Carmel Drive and Range Line Road designed and constructed by Birkla Investment Group (BIG), is nearing the end of construction on its amenity deck, which is a $1 million addition to the overall Proscenium project.
BIG hired Midwest Landscaping to install a 40-by-15-foot stainless steel pool on the rooftop of its parking garage overlooking Carmel Drive. On Tuesday morning, the pool was lifted into position and installed via crane, prompting the closure of all four lanes of Carmel Drive between 3rd Avenue and Range Line Road.
“We’re excited to enter the last phase of construction to complete Proscenium’s amenity deck,” said Lynn Wall, Director of Construction of Novo Development Group, the general contractor for BIG and the Proscenium project. “Our expertise in construction allows us to execute high-quality, unique projects for our residents and the community.”
The pool is the signature feature of Proscenium’s outdoor amenity deck, offered to both groups of Proscenium’s residents – condo owners at REV and lessees at VER. Proscenium plans to open the pool to its residents this spring. Amenity deck features that are private to the residents include the pool, fire pits, sundeck, putting green and outdoor bar. Open to the public are features including an outdoor fireplace, hammock swings, oversized outdoor chess and lounge seating.
“It’s essential to our business that we incorporate unique features that attract residents and businesses vital to the larger community,” BIG said. “We’ve invested significantly in Proscenium to create an inspiring place for our residents to call home. A rooftop pool is just one of many reasons why someone would choose to live at Proscenium. We listen to what today’s residents want to create real estate projects that inspire and make an impact.”
Proscenium also features an impressive interior clubhouse, inclusive of several luxury amenities that residents may use for no extra fees. These include a guest suite that residents may rent to host out-of-town family and friends, a co-working space with conference room and business center, a Full Swing golf simulator, pool table, shuffleboard and more. It has direct access to the Monon Greenway.
In addition to its residential community, Proscenium leases office space to Carmel businesses and offers dining and retail establishments on site, all within steps of residents’ front doors. Tenants include Wahlburgers, which opened in 2020, and Beer Kitchen 101 and a luxury salon, both scheduled to open later this year.
