Carmel’s Music on the Monon will get Southwestern twist

Saturday night’s Music on the Monon at Carmel Center Green will have you rocking out to Mesa Rain, a Southwestern rock inspired band. Bring your cooler and dancing shoes as Mesa Rain takes the stage at 6 p.m.

The group plays original Americana and covers of iconic rock, country, jazz and blues music. Doug Setters, Rick Hamilton, Dave Seals and Jeff Keyt will make Music on the Monon the place to be Saturday night.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Carmel’s Center Green. All concerts are free and open to the public. Here is the schedule:

  • June 22 – Mesa Rain (Country Rock)
  • June 29 – Emma Hedrick Band (Jazz)
  • July 27 – Circuit Thursday (Classic Rock)
  • 3 – Blair & Classic Bus (Classic soul / Jazz)

One of Carmel’s premier distillers and craft brewers, Danny Boy Beer Works, will sell beverages at Center Green for people to enjoy during the performances. In addition, Peace Water Winery – Indiana’s only locally-owned California winery – will also sell a few of their select wines. Lastly, All Things Carmel will be selling there Carmel swag.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Carmel’s “Bike There, Borrow a Chair” program will provide a free lawn chair for the night if you prefer to bike to the event. Chairs for the program are supplied by the National Bank of Indianapolis.
