Carmel’s Music on the Monon moves to the Gazebo tonight

Due to a one-time conflict with another event taking place at the Center for the Performing Arts, today’s Music on the Monon will move down the Monon to the Gazebo at City Hall. City officials say they plan to return the event to Center Green on July 27, but for now, join in the fun at the Gazebo, 1 Civic Square.

The Emma Hedrick band will serenade you with beautiful jazz music. Bring your cooler and dancing shoes as she takes the stage at 6 p.m. She is a vocalist, composer, arranger and jazz combo leader. The two-time DownBeat Student Music Award Winner will entertain you with her marvelous music.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at The Gazebo. All concerts are free and open to the public. Here is the schedule:

  • Tonight – Emma Hedrick Band (Jazz)
  • July 27 – Circuit Thursday (Classic Rock)
  • 3 – Blair & Classic Bus (Classic soul / Jazz)

One of Carmel’s premier distillers and craft brewers, Danny Boy Beer Works, will sell beverages for people to enjoy during the performances. In addition, Indiana’s only locally-owned California winery, Peace Water Winery, will also sell a few of their select wines. Lastly, All Things Carmel will be selling there Carmel swag.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Carmel’s “Bike There, Borrow a Chair” program will provide a free lawn chair for the night if you prefer to bike to the event. Chairs for the program are supplied by the National Bank of Indianapolis.
