Carmel Gateway, the largest suburban office park in central Indiana, held a special memorial cookout on Thursday to honor the memory of beloved Operating Partner and Head Chef, Patrick Calloway.
Calloway’s Cookout brought together more than 100 office park tenants and Calloway’s family members in celebration of his life and lasting legacy as a friendly face in their Labor District Cafe on campus. Calloway died in 2023 after his battle with cancer and was known as a loving father and grandfather as well as a beloved coworker who enjoyed cold beer, good wings, and well-prepared food.
Last fall, Carmel Gateway planted a tree on their campus in his honor with a memorial plaque. The Calloway Cookout is a community recognition of the memorial tree and curated landscaping on this portion of campus featuring yellow flowers for Calloway’s love of University of Michigan. This is just one example of how Carmel Gateway, an office park home to hundreds of employees of different companies, is a connected, professional campus where people can do more than just come to work.

Such an amazing man and family 🙂 Happy to see everyone coming together for the recognition and love the he and the Calloway family deserve!
Patrick was a student of mine. He was fun loving and always willing to help others!💖
