Boys Soccer: Hounds beat Tigers in all-county game

The Carmel boys soccer team stayed undefeated Thursday after beating Class 3A No. 2 Fishers 1-0 in an all-county game at Brian Murray Stadium.

The 3A No. 4 Greyhounds scored their goal in the first half when Quinn Wu booted a free kick into the net.

Carmel is now 6-0 for the season and returns to action Tuesday by hosting Lawrence North. The Tigers are 5-1-1 and return home Saturday morning to host Eastbrook.

Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 10 in 3A, won a Tuesday Hoosier Crossroads Conference game 1-0 over Avon.

Gavin Boyle scored the goal for the Royals, who are 1-1-1 in conference play.

Southeastern hosted 3A No. 1 Harrison Thursday and lost 2-1. Jake Borcherding scored for the Royals, with Alfie Pratt making the assist.

Southeastern is 4-2-2 and hosts Brebeuf Jesuit Saturday morning.
