Recently, the Noblesville Sunrisers Kiwanis club presented a community service award to Mr. Bob Anderson.

Mr. Anderson grew up near West Lafayette prior to his move to Hamilton County.  His time was spent as a farmer of over 3000 acres (Hazel Dell and 156th area) and a sales professional for Equitable Life Insurance company where he won top salesman many times over.  He has volunteered with the American Red Cross, providing rides as needed to needy patients.  Along with his wife, Maureen, he served several years for Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County.  He is a former member of the Riverview Hospital Foundation and has served the hospital in many volunteer capacities.  The Andersons attend the First Christian Church and have served there in many capacities.  Bob performed many maintenance tasks for the church including mowing their property for 20+ years.

As a Kiwanian, Bob has been an active member since 1976.  He is responsible for the starting of numerous clubs, including our Sunrisers.  Both the Sheridan and Carmel Golden K clubs owe their start to Bob.  He has served our local club as President, Secretary, Membership chair, as well as the Lieutenant Governor for Sycamore South division.  He has recruited and mentored many of our current members.  He has served as our unofficial fund raising chair and is credited with raising countless dollars to support the children of Noblesville and Hamilton County.

If you are interested in helping the children of our area, please join us any Tuesday morning at 7:00am at Jim Dandy Restaurant.  We encourage and invite you to visit us and see what we are about.
