‘Blazers beat Tindley, roll to 12-0

The Class 2A No. 2 University girls won their 12th consecutive game to open the season, rolling to a 65-28 win over Indianapolis Tindley Thursday night at The U Center.
Lindsey Syrek had a monster game for the Trailblazers, tying her career high with 28 points. Syrek made 13 of 17 field goals and had 13 rebounds, seven steals and four blocked shots. The 6-1 senior had 13 first quarter points and added six more in the second period as University sprinted to a 39-16 halftime advantage.
Freshman Kelsey DuBois had 11 points and nine rebounds. Maddi Sears had eight points, six assists and four steals. Payton Seay and Sierra Hinds also scored eight points apiece for University.
The Trailblazers play Saturday afternoon at The Indiana School for The Deaf in a varsity only contest. Tipoff is at 12:30 p.m.
