Blackhawks can’t stop winning

Sheridan’s girls continued their long win streak on Tuesday, beating Lebanon 39-37 at the Tigers’ Rosenstihl Gymnasium.

Lebanon led 17-12 after one quarter and 23-16 at halftime. The Blackhawks cut the Tigers’ lead to 35-31 after three periods, then surged ahead in the fourth quarter by allowing Lebanon only two points in that period. Sheridan forced 28 turnovers in the game.

Kenzie Garner led the scoring with 19 points, followed by Cecilia Timme with 10 points. Kenzie Garner led the rebounds with nine and also had five assists, three steals and three blocked shots. Timme made five steals and dished out three assists.

The Blackhawks are 10-2 and are next in action Dec. 28 at the Alexandria Tournament. Sheridan plays Beech Grove at noon, then takes on either Tri-Central or Alexandria later that evening.
