Big third quarter sends Warriors past HSE

Hamilton Southeastern dropped a 64-56 home game to Warren Central on Saturday.
The two teams played to a 14-14 tie after one quarter, then the Royals led 28-26 at halftime. But the Warriors took over in the third period, going on a 19-3 run to lead 45-31 late in the quarter. Warren led 48-38 after three periods.
Sam Jacobs led the Royals with 19 points, while Reph Stevenson scored 13 points and collected six rebounds, also blocking three shots. Donovan Hamilton and Caleb Smock both scored eight points, with Smock making two 3-pointers. Hamilton and Michael Griffith both pulled four rebounds.
Southeastern is 4-6 and plays a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Westfield on Friday.
