The Tom & Soni Sheehan Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville (BGCN) announces a $75,000 grant award from the RJS Foundation to support the Club’s Academic Success initiatives and Transportation Program – two critical components that ensure local youth have access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive while keeping participation costs low for families.
This generous investment will directly impact hundreds of Club members by strengthening programs focused on homework help, tutoring, and academic enrichment, while also offsetting the tremendous costs of providing safe and reliable transportation for youth traveling to and from the Club each day.
“At the Boys & Girls Club, we see firsthand that success in the classroom starts with consistency, support, and access after school,” BGCN Executive Director Becky Terry said. “The RJS Foundation’s commitment helps remove barriers for our families, whether that’s providing a ride to the Club or ensuring a child has the afterschool and out-of-school academic support they need to stay on track and build confidence.”
BGCN serves more than 2,200 youth annually across Hamilton County and surrounding communities, providing a safe, affordable, and supportive environment during out-of-school hours. Programs are centered around academic success, healthy and active lifestyles, good character and citizenship, and life and workforce readiness, which helps young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Transportation remains one of the most critical needs for many families. The Club’s Transportation Program provides daily bus service from local schools, ensuring that youth who may otherwise lack access can consistently participate in after-school programming. Combined with strong academic support, this access plays a key role in improving long-term outcomes for local youth.
“RJS is excited to walk alongside the BGCN and to begin building a strong partnership,” RJS Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Dotzert said. “We are very impressed with the services they provide and their alignment with the RJS Foundation’s mission. We congratulate their team on 75 years of serving youth!”
The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville extends its sincere gratitude to the RJS Foundation for their partnership and commitment to strengthening the community and supporting the next generation of leaders.
