On Tuesday, officers and investigators from the Noblesville Police Department (NPD) served an arrest warrant on the suspect in the fatal hit and run motor vehicle crash that occurred on March 3 at the intersection of Cicero Road (State Road 19) and Field Drive in Noblesville.

The crash resulted in the death of John E. Finch, 52, Noblesville, who was a pedestrian in the area.

NPD investigators have worked tirelessly on the case from the start. Upon concluding their extensive investigation, investigators presented their findings to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office and a subsequent arrest warrant was issued for the suspect.

Trask

The suspect, Zebulon R. Trask, 42, was taken into custody at his home in Arcadia without incident. He was transported and incarcerated at the Hamilton County Jail on the preliminary charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Resulting in Death), I.C. 9-26-1-1.1 (Felony 4).

A charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
