Southeastern beats Brownsburg in conference opener

Hamilton Southeastern opened Hoosier Crossroads Conference play with a win on Thursday, beating Brownsburg 1-0 at Ken Seitz Field.

The Royals scored their run in the fifth inning. Maddux Bach drew a walk with two outs, then stole second base. Ty Bradle sent Bach home with a single.

Griffen Haas was 3-for-3 at the plate, including a sixth-inning double. Bradle got the pitching win, with 10 strikeouts over six innings. Brady Strawmeyer then finished the game with three strikeouts in the seventh inning.

Southeastern is 3-3 for the season and plays at Brownsburg today to complete the HCC series.
