Hamilton Heights opened its softball season Monday with a 14-1 win at Bishop Chatard.
The Huskies put up six runs in the second inning, with Lily Cash smacking a three-run double, then Lily Roush hitting a two-run double. Heights added seven runs in the third inning, including two-run singles by Hailey Hall and Melanee Forrester. Kassidy Schakel opened the fourth inning with a home run. Taya Trosper also hit a double.
Roush pitched all five innings, striking out 12 against two hits and no walks.
The Huskies host Frankton at 5 p.m. today.
