Arthur L. Pryor Sr., 73, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home in Indianapolis. He was born on September 28, 1949, to Jesse Pryor Sr. and Madie (Bowlin) Pryor in Creekmore, Ky.
Art was a song writer who loved playing his music. He worked in apartment maintenance. Art enjoyed fishing and rescuing cats.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn Pryor; daughters, Tina (Karl) Moore and Lorie West; son, Arthur (Cybil) Pryor II; seven grandchildren, Lauren Renniker, Brittany Wood, Deanna Konkle, Arthur Pryor III, Joshua Pryor, Isabelle Pryor, and Kat Pryor; and six great-grandchildren, Breana, Addison, Kohen, Ellie, Lucy, and Daemon.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his sisters, Pearl, Gracie, Nellie, Cynthia, Barb, Joyce, and Irene; and his brothers, Al, Jesse, Lodie, and Paul.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, with services at noon, on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Tony Pryor will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
