Dear Editor:
I read with interest Mark Hall’s column answering questions from a curious public about Hamilton County food pantries. I too had the same questions in mind. Thanks, Mark, for offering this information.
Another point I would like to make is a heads-up suggestion to whomever is responsible for the outdoor food box pantries we see around each town and city in Hamilton County.
Has anyone ever considered a proper way to showcase the canned food in these wooden boxes when the temperature is extremely hot in the summer? The majority of the wooden boxes face toward the sun, mostly the west, which is the hottest direction of the sun in the summer. Are these pantry boxes ventilated and would a temperature curtain help in keeping it cooler inside of a box that is out in the heat of the day?
